Day 4:
Steve dropped us back in Lower Slawter and we are on the go.
Sunday today we are hopping to meet more people.
The weather is on our side too.
The quick selfie to start the day has become a tradition now.
We keep crossing other path like the Gloucestershire Way.
The Gloucestershire Way is a long-distance footpath,
in the English country of Gloucestershire.
The 100-mile (160-km) route, which uses existing Rights of Way,
goes from Tutshill, just north of Chepstow,
crosses the river Severn at Gloucester,
proceeding then to Tewkesbury,
with a 'Worcestershire Way Link'.
We now traversing some "classic Cotswold country",
with rolling wolds and wide open views.
Aston farm
- COLD ASTON -
The Plough Inn, Pub where we ate last night.
Oh I love those quirky stone wall,
common in Cotswold.
Bangup Lane, a surfaced track
which we shall follow as far as Turkdean.
Superb views of the valley
Arriving in Turkdean
We decided once again to stop for lunch by the church of the village.
We now leave the village by a lovely stoned path
to arrive in the hamlet of Lower Dean
this is Hampnett where we were supposed to stop
for the day but we have decided to carry on to the next village
to shorten our distance tomorrow.
Steve is collecting us again today so we are flexible.
Now I want you to imagine the photo with the song
in the back ground
of the TV series "The little house on the prairie".
The minute after they were throwing sheep's dry poo to each other !!
That's boy for you
That's it, we made it,
we are in Yanworth.
Just waiting for Steve now to drive us back at the campsite
The first few days we kept the feeling of "Deja Vu".
As we live in Banbury quite a few of the villages are familiar to us,
either on a Sunday-day out or
visit of a acquaintance.
But today we are starting to discover more of the Costwold.
Shoes off, Flip flop on !
So we walked today 15,77 km in 5 hours and half.
