Wroxton Arch in the back ground,
"It is said to be one of the finest eye catchers follies in England.
It is positioned in a clearing placed at the summit of a hill,
It allows the visitor commanding views back
across the fields to the Obelisk and, probably before the trees grew up,
a view to the Abbey".
passed "Sor Brook",
Up the hill,
to Wroxton obelicks,
- the owner's of Wroxton Abbey nearby, also known as
the
Earl of Guildford, commissioned the erection of the obelisk
to commemorate the
visit to Wroxton
by the Prince of Wales, Frederick of Hanover in 1739.

Thanks to a free App on my phone, Endomondo, I can tell you that
after 1 hour 34 and 5,91 km (3.70 miles),
we were back to the car and enjoyed a "Zip" of water (I promised Edward that by the end of the walk, I will correct my English for "Sip" of water.
I wonder why I keep confusing those 2 words !!? 😉 )
We are ready to go now
Macmillan way, here we come !
